How to change a SKU on Leroy Merlin

Did you create offers on Leroy Merlin with SKUs that no longer match your internal system? Or perhaps you never assigned an offer SKU and now have a Leroy Merlin-assigned SKU? You might assume you can simply edit the Offer SKU — only to discover that the field is locked 🔒

Leroy Merlin does not allow sellers to change either the Shop SKU (the product listing’s SKU) or the Offer SKU (the SKU tied to your specific offer).

However, there’s a simple workaround: you can create a new offer using the “correct” Offer SKU and delete the old one using the Offer Import functionality.

What’s the difference between a Shop SKU and an Offer SKU?

Shop SKU:

The SKU tied to the product listing in Leroy Merlin’s catalog. It identifies the product itself.

Offer SKU:

The SKU you assign when creating your offer for that product. It identifies your specific offer as a seller.

Why can’t you change an Offer SKU on Leroy Merlin?

Each Offer SKU in Leroy Merlin uniquely identifies your specific offer record. Because this value is tied to historical pricing, inventory, and performance data, the system prevents direct edits.

The only way to update it is to create a new offer for the product with the correct SKU and remove the old one.

How to “change” your Offer SKU on Leroy Merlin

You can “change” your Offer SKUs one-by-one directly on the Leroy Merlin dashboard or in bulk using Offer Import files — both methods achieve the same result.

Single Product: Step-by-step guide

1️⃣ Log in to your Leroy Merlin Dashboard

2️⃣ Navigate to Catalog → Catalog Management

3️⃣ Open the product you want to update the offer SKU for

4️⃣ Under Offers, click on + Add offer

5️⃣ Add the new Offer details

Offer SKU: assign the correct SKU

Stock quantity & Offer Price: same values as the old offer

6️⃣ Click Create offer

You will now have 2 offers for the product:

1 with the incorrect SKU

1 with the correct SKU

7️⃣ Delete the old offer with the incorrect SKU by:

Clicking the trashcan icon next to the offer

On the confirmation pop-up, click Delete

Bulk Update: Step-by-step guide

1️⃣ Log in to your Leroy Merlin Dashboard

2️⃣ Export your existing offers

Navigate to Price and stock → Offers

Export your current offers file by clicking on the document with arrow icon (top right) and select the format you prefer (.CSV or .XLSX)

3️⃣ Prepare two import files

You can remove any rows with products that don’t need SKU changing, or keep them in the file

If there is no input in the “update-delete” column nothing will change, but if you’re worried about making changes to existing SKUs that don’t need changes you can delete those lines from the sheet before moving to the next step.

Before making any edits duplicate the file, so that you have :

ONE file for adding new offers

ONE file for deleting old offers

📁 File 1: Create the new offer (with the “correct” Offer SKU)

For all products needing SKU changes:

Keep the details from your existing offer (price, quantity, product-id, etc.)

Replace the sku in column A with your correct SKU

Ensure the update-delete value (column R) is set to update

Save this as your “Update Offer” file

📁 File 2: Delete the old offers (with the incorrect Offer SKU)

For all products needing SKU changes:

🚨 Ensure you only do the below for the rows with incorrect SKUs you want to delete

Ensure the sku in column A is the incorrect (old) SKU

Set the update-delete value (column R) to delete

Save this as your “Delete Old Offer” file

4️⃣ Import the new offers

On Leroy Merlin dashboard, navigate to Price and stock → File imports

Ensure you’re on the Import file tab

Click Source and select your New Offer file

Under File content, select Offers

Under Import mode, select Normal

IMPORTANT: Do NOT select the “Delete and replace” mode

Click Import

Wait until the import completes successfully — this creates new offers with your new Offer SKUs.

If you do some spot-checks on your Leroy Merlin Catalog, for the products you now added new offers, there will now be 2 offers for the product:

1 with the incorrect SKU
1 with the correct SKU

5️⃣ Delete the old offers

On Leroy Merlin dashboard, navigate to Price and stock → File imports

Ensure you’re on the Import file tab

Click Source and select your Delete Old Offer file

Under File content, select Offers

Under Import mode, select Normal

IMPORTANT: Do NOT select the “Delete and replace” mode

Click Import

This deletes the old offers with incorrect SKUs from your seller account.

6️⃣ Verify the new offers

You can review the new offers to ensure they now have the correct SKUs by:

Navigating to Price and stock → Offers

Confirm that:

The new offers have the correct SKUs
The old offers have been deleted

For Wherehouse Users

If you’re a Wherehouse user, your Offer SKU on Leroy Merlin must match your SKU in Wherehouse (and your ERP/online store) for orders, pricing and stock updates to sync correctly.

Once you’ve uploaded the new Offer SKU:

Wherehouse will automatically detect the new offer on the next sync cycle

You can safely delete the old offer without disrupting your inventory sync
